More LinSanity as I’m overcome with the collective wank-fest over the Knicks new point guard from Harvard. To wit:
- Raptors Republic does a game recap, but #NowLetsTalkAboutJeremyLin. When blogs about other teams start talking about you, you’re officially making a splash in the league. Washington’s freakin’ crowd loved him last night too. [Raptors Republic]
- He’s still sleeping on his brothers couch [BDL]
- Seth from Knicks’ must-read blog, Posting and Toasting, feels like he’s in a room with 100 puppies. Sounds about right. [Poasting and Toasting]
- Here’s that crossover Lin had against John Wall. Yeah, then he slammed it, which Tyson Chandler didn’t even know he could do. [YouTube]
- Frank Isola of the Daily News lets us all know Lin’s an overnight sensation spawning the #LinSanity trend. Thanks Frank, but it’s not exactly overnight; I waited three games before jumping on the Lin train (and damn his name is perfect for bloggers). [Daily News]
- The HuffPo jumped on the SEO bait with Lin [Huffington Post]
- Local periodicals are running stories on Lin as the conquering—in New York—hometown hero. Kid from the neighborhood all grown up etc. [San Francisco Chronicle]
- Deadspin’s lady-blogging (and adroit basketball cultural watcher) Emma Carmichael loves him, and so do the commenters [Deadspin]
- Mark Jackson remaining stubborn about the Warriors’ decision keep him on the bench. Oh, Mark. [Slam Online]
- David Roth “generally the last person on most stories like this,” wrote about him for The Classical, Vice and WSJ’s Daily Fix blog, but please, don’t rap about him. [Daily Fix, Vice, The Classical]
- And the true sign you’ve made it, a “trend” piece in the Atlantic about how the Internet (that’s us!) made Jeremy Lin a star [The Atlantic]
Jeremy Lin ladies and gents. Lets (that’s Knicks fans) hope he’s not a flash-in-the-pan wonder.
There’s very little that’s been left unsaid about the Knicks new point guard, but the utter joy that crosses his face from time to time, is a joy in and of itself. The NBA as a business has been seared into our collective consciousness during the lockout and ensuing free agency frenzy, so an underdog Ivy Leaguer’s smile at his good fortune on the professional sports plane, is something we should all applaud.

Seattle Supersonics fans at the Portland - Oklahoma City Thunder game in Portland. They’re still looking for a team. They haven’t forgotten. Have you?
